This weeks tournament is in USA! It's great to be out here playing a great golf course in a totally different environment - but the 40 degree heat isn't so great.

Almost all the players this week play for division 1 college teams on golf scholarships. It has been really interesting finding out about the collegiate system here in the US and how totally different it is to life back in Perth.

I'm playing at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club in Marysville, CA. It's about a 2 hour drive up from San Francisco which is where we had been staying for a couple days prior to the tournament.

Yesterdays practice round proved that errant tee shots will be punished. With thick, spongy rough it's almost impossible to make clean contact when hitting out of it. The course has some extremely tight fairways with big tree branches overhanging either side. On some holes you're left with a 10 meter gap through to the green or you can hit a low stinger under the trees and hope it doesn't climb too high! But regardless, this golf course requires accuracy and patience for a good score.

I'd like to thanks the tournament organisers! They have done such an outstanding job and we've only played the first round! On our registration day/ practice round each player was given a players pack filled with goodies; towels, water bottles, local produce, personalised bag tags, competitor badges, bibs for our caddies (Toryn loves it), course guides... the list goes on! They really do know how to run a world class golf tournament, it creates such a professional atmosphere.

Round 1: 75 (+3)

Round 2: 74 (+2)

Round 3: 76 (+4)

Round 4: 81 (+9)
