After a long break from blogging my golf tournaments I am back. The last few month back in Australia have been quiet with only a couple of tournaments being played. My most recent event was the Rockingham Womens Amateur, a state ranking event. Over the 2 days I shot +2 and finished 3rd.
During this slow season I have been focusing on the gym to gain more distance, power and improve on my fitness. After returning from the US it was clear I needed to gain distance, another 10%, to be contending on longer courses. I have also continued working with my coach to correct a minor swing fault. These quiet times, although boring, are important. They provide us payers with some time for RnR and time to fix any technical aspects of our game. During the next month, before the 2019 Australian season begins, I will be organising and preparing for tournaments.
The first event in 2019 will be the Australian Amateur Championships! After last years injury the day before play, I am extremely excited to have another chance to compete in this event. Playing in your countries home championship is such a great feeling!
More to come on the events for 2019
